Lobsters Life
Created for the GMTK Game Jam 2024 based on the theme 'built to scale', inspired by old gameboy games.
Be a baby lobster, eat plankton, and avoid predators to grow and escape into the wider ocean.
Controls:
- WASD / arrow keys = movement
- space = attack
- G = age / molt
I vastly over estimated how much a single person get done in the timeframe. The original idea was that as the lobster grew, the resolution of the game would grow/scale with it, going from a low resolution baby to a high resolution lobster.

Super cute! Love the art and I don't know if it was intentional, but in the ending cutscene a little crab briefly peeked out to watch me go! The lobster gets stuck in the geo sometimes but never fully.
